Digital Strategy and a Plan

Situation: “We’re investing a lot but I’m not seeing a return. I don’t know what is, or will, make the difference. Nothing seems to be moving the needle.”

Issue: It’s ‘ok’ but we want more.

Solution: Interview stakeholders. Set an intention. Map the strategy through five questions (our aspirations, where do we want to play, how can we win there, what capabilities do we need, what management systems underpin those). Share, refine and socialise the strategy with stakeholders. (Then follow through on the choices and promises!)

Impact: A clear set of choices for what we do with digital and a realistic plan to fulfil the aspirations. (And twelve months later, a better way of working and a lot of successful digital resolutions.)
